In a declaration addressing the UN Secretary General, over 500 human rights advocating figures and political organizations from Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria called for the immediate lift of the Ashraf siege and guarantee of international protection and security for Ashraf residents.
The signatories of this declaration, while emphasizing the necessity of international prosecution for the directors of crimes against humanity at Ashraf, supported the European initiative for Ashraf.
Among the signatories of this declaration were lawyers, university faculties and cultural and literary figures.
