Lack of medical care for political prisoner Ja’far Eghdami

Ja’far Eghdami, a political prisoner detained in the Security Ward of Gohardasht Prison in Karaj (west of Tehran) has been deprived of any medical care despite his chronic medical conditions. It has been months since Eghdami is suffering from back problems and he cannot walk without a cane.
This political prisoner was transferred to the prison clinic a few days ago, yet was returned to the ward since the facility lacked the proper medical supplies.  It is worth noting that after the Security Ward was established in Gohardasht Prison and most of the political prisoners were transferred to this ward, many of these detainees have been deprived of their fundamental rights including medical care.
