France Libertes Foundation expresses concerns on Ashraf situation

The France Libertes – Daniel Mitterrand Foundation expressed its concerns regarding the situation in Camp Ashraf in Iraq. Despite repeated warnings from international human rights NGOs to the international community – which were neglected – two massacres took place on July 2009 and April 2011 in Ashraf.
France Libertes expressed its abhorrence and concern regarding the deadline to close down Camp Ashraf without a secure solution, demanding from the UN Human Rights Council to remind Iraq of its obligations.
France Libertes also demanded that the Council monitor the situation in Camp Ashraf, and for the High Commissioner to take effective measures in relations to international protection for Ashraf.
