300 Iraqi women gathered in Ashraf to condemn mullahs’ regime’s meddling in Iraq

In a gathering in Ashraf City, more than 300 Iraqi intellectual women, along with a number of political personalities and NGO officials, emphasized on struggle against fundamentalism and the mullahs’ regime’s meddling in Iraq as well ad on the solidarity with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) particularly with 1,000 PMOI women members in the city of Ashraf.

In this gathering the participants discussed political situation of Iraq and the active and effective participation of women in the political process of that country.
In her speech, Mrs. Roqiyeh Abbassi admired the heroic role of Iraqi women and their resistance and patience against all pressures and hardships. She said: It was proved in these years that the Iraqi sisters and brothers won’t step back of their principles and demands and will stand firm against fundamentalism and savagery of mullahs and will keep hoisted the flag of Iraqi people’s honor and dignity.

Mrs. Kareema Dawoud, jurist and the second deputy of the Iraqi Solidarity Congress, pointed out at the presence of representative of various sectors of her country’s people in the session and said: Right opposite to the mullahs’ regime which misuses diversity of religions and nationalities in Iraq and tries to use it as a weapon against the Iraqi people, the PMOI, by bringing about unity and solidarity among us, draws this beautiful tableau as it should be.

Mrs. Soha Muhammad, head of “Association of Women Outcry” said: The Iranian regime intervenes in all aspects of our life; the Iranian embassy in Baghdad and its consulates in the Iraqi southern provinces pursue anti-Iraqi policy under the cover of law.

The ending resolution of the gathering was read and signed by the participants.
