Ceremonies held throughout Iran commemorating 2009 uprising martyrs

Based on reports from cities throughout Iran including Esfahan (central Iran), Rasht (northern Iran) and Karaj (west of Tehran), various families and friends held ceremonies commemorating the martyrs of the Iranian people’s courageous 2009 uprisings. Family and friends of martyr Hossein Akhtarzand gathered at his grave on Friday, June 17th, in Esfahan’s Rezvan Garden Cemetery.
In a village near Rasht, family members and friends of Sajjad Sabz-alipour gathered at this martyr’s birthplace to lay flowers and express their oath to continue his path.
Relatives and friends of martyr Davoud Sadri commemorated the second anniversary of his martyrdom by holding a ceremony In Karaj. These three martyrs were killed by the Iranian regime’s henchmen during 2009 uprisings.
