Shocking documents of torture in Maliki’s notorious prisons: al-Sharqia TV

Al-Sharqia TV News, 20 April 2011-Shocking documents revealing the use of torture in Nouri Maliki’s notorious prisons were disclosed by al-Sharqia TV. This TV network announced it has obtained an official Iraqi Justice Ministry document revealing physical torture and various offenses to Iraqi prisoners inside Nouri Maliki’s prisons. This document, dated January 5th, 2011, shows that 980 inmates were sent to coroner’s office for the physical check-ups. It was discovered during these checks that all the prisoners, with the exception of 3, were placed under torture and various offenses.
According to another document, two prisoners lost their lives under brutal tortures inside Nouri Maliki’s prisons. al-Sharqia TV announced a document issued by the coroner’s office states hemorrhage, remnants of torture and wounds found on the bodies of two prisoners were the cause of their deaths.
