Senior mullah acknowledges women’s role in anti-regime protests

NCRI, 15 March 2011 – A member of the regime’s Assembly of Experts fearfully highlighted the Iranian women’s role in anti-regime protests, acknowledging popular slogans against the regime’s Supreme Leader.
Mullah Ahmad Alamolhoda, whose comments were published by the state-run Fars news agency on Monday, said, “When a woman stands on a chair in the middle of a street and hurls insults [against the regime], she should not be surprised when she is confronted.”
He was referring to the suppression of female protestors by the regime’s suppressive forces.
“This individual has hurt the religious feelings of those who follow the Supreme Leader,” he added.
