Iran- April 29, 2019 – As the mullahs’ ruling Iran are desperately attempting to cope with foreign crises and mounting sanctions, protests are yet again on the rise across the country.

Clients and individuals who purchased vehicles from the Azim Khodro Company rallied on Monday outside the economic branch of the regime’s public prosecutor’s office on Tehran’s North Kargar Avenue. These protesters were criticizing company officials for refusing to deliver their purchased vehicles.

In Khoy, West Azerbaijan Province, northwest Iran, taxi drivers rallied on Monday protesting officials’ incompetence in resolving their daily dilemmas. They are criticizing skyrocketing prices of basic necessities while their wages are constantly lowered.

In the city of Baneh in Kurdistan Province, western Iran, taxi drivers also rallied on Monday, launching a strike and protesting their ongoing problems while regime officials refuse to act in solving their basic needs.

In Tehran, the country’s capital, a group of subway workers held a protest rally to demand their unpaid overtime paychecks that have been delayed for at least two months, along with their New Year bonuses and last month’s paycheck. This rally was held in the Shahr-e Rey station located in southern Tehran.

Furthermore, 250 subway workers who have provided cleaning services for Tehran subway were also rallying and demanding their salaries that have been delayed for several months now.

Municipality workers of the town of Kut Abdullah near Ahvaz, southwest Iran, rallied for the second consecutive day on Monday, protesting delayed paychecks. Gathering outside the regime’s provincial governor’s office, these workers are also protesting problems with their medical insurance.

The workers had originally held protest rallies for ten days in the town of Kut Abdullah and decided to relocate their protest rally to Ahvaz after not receiving any response from regime officials.

“Now, we have been here (outside the regime’s provincial governor office in Ahvaz) for two days,” one protester said. “However, these shameless officials don’t even come out to ask us about our concerns. It has been four months since we received our last paycheck. Before we came here, they attempted to deceive us by giving us one paycheck. However, many of the workers here have not received their paychecks for the past four or five months.”
