Washington, NCRI, May 9, 2018 - During the this live panel discussion on how to rein on 's missile and nuclear program, NCRIUS Deputy Director Alireza Jafarzadeh said: “We have to understand...the people are rising up against the regime, they reject the entire program and there's no sympathy for the nuclear program in ."
Ms. Rebeccah Heinrichs who moderated the event said: "The JCPOA legitimized the regime and flooded it with cash, which allowed it to continue its malicious activities but with more money."
Then Amb. Robert Joseph weighed on the subject and added: “We have to have a complete denuclearization and we have to have denuclearization that is verifiable and irreversible.”
Following the remarks by Amb. Robert Joseph., Amb Joseph DeTrani who also was part of this high ranking panel discussion said: "In short I would say that the ballistic missile program is a manifestation of the intentions of the regime. it makes it very, very clear that the goal of Tehran is [ICBMs] to be able to fit a nuclear warhead on that."
And finally Ambassador Joseph DeTrani said: "The truth of the matter is that the ballistic missiles are key, because the delivery systems are so important...there have been 20 ballistic missile launches since the JCPOA."
