On Saturday, April 21, 2018, workers at Orumieh Steel Manufacturing Factory in West Azarbaijan, Iran spread a large empty table and staged a protest sit-in and rally.

The steel manufacturing workers launched the protest in front of the Governorate of West Azerbaijan because they have not received one year of their salary and their social security premiums

On April 7th, workers had gathered in front of the Governorate, where the governor of West Azerbaijan was forced to come among the workers and promised them to follow up on their problems and to address their concerns through law enforcement agencies. However, no responsibility was accepted for the accountability to the problems of the workers.

The protesters have been gathering in front of the Governorate many times. However, the authorities of the Orumieh Steel Manufacturing Factory have still not addressed their demands.
