Iran’s regime growing ever more concerned over Warsaw conference

Analysis by PMOI/MEK

Feb. 13, 3019 – On the verge of the Warsaw conference focusing on the Middle East and the Iranian regime’s malign activities, officials across the mullahs’ apparatus are expressing growing worries over this initiative. Some voices are attempting to save face by claiming the conference has failed prior to its launch.

“The initial objectives of the discussion in the Poland meeting failed to gain any results. They have taken a step back and changed the meeting title,” said Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to the Entekhab website on February 10.

While in Doha, former Iranian regime foreign minister Kamal Kharrazi, now head of the so-called Strategic Council of Foreign Affairs (associated to the office of the Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei), also shared his concerns over the Warsaw conference.

“Iran has never launched a war against any country. Yet we will go the distance in defending the security and peace of regional countries,” he said in remarks full of hypocrisy.

“If we accept the fact that the region is going through an important period, we must also realize that attaining peace and tranquility in the region can only be materialized through engagement, talks and mutual respect of sovereignty,” Kharrazi added in a February 10 interview with Iranian state-TV.

Without providing any names, the state-run ISNA news agency claimed a group of “human rights activists, university professors, college graduates and journalists” issued a letter “calling on the United Nations Secretary-General, Human Rights Council chief and European Parliament President to take action against America’s anti-peace, anti-security and anti-human rights measures against the Iranian people [read Iranian regime].”

The Tabnak website, linked to former Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) chief Mohsen Rezaie, referred to the Polish Foreign Minister and his deputy specifically highlighting the fact that Iran’s regime has not been invited to the Warsaw conference “due to its troubled relations with the United States.”

“Prior to this, the Polish Foreign Minister said Iran has not been invited due to its incomprehensible positions,” the piece added.

The state-run Alef website also wrote, “Former British prime minister Tony Blair expressed his support for the anti-Iran conference in Poland, describing this meeting as the first step to confront the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Countries from Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East will be taking part in this conference to discuss the Iranian regime’s destructive and destabilizing influence in the region. Even a solution to confront Tehran’s bellicosity may be part of their talks.

Despite the Iranian regime claiming the Warsaw conference has already failed, the participation of foreign ministers from the United Kingdom, Germany and Belgium proves Tehran’s claims to be nothing but lies. Europe cannot neglect a conference is focusing on stability in the Middle East.

As a result, the brouhaha launched by Iranian regime officials further demonstrates their concerns and weak position vis-à-vis the Warsaw initiative. This also sheds light on Tehran’s regional and international isolation, and most certainly, this crisis will grow in size for the mullahs following the Warsaw meeting.

In fact, the reactions seen from Zarif and other Iranian regime officials/insiders further proves the importance of this global conference against the mullahs’ apparatus in its entirety.

“The Poland gathering is in line with the ‘hot summer’ project that American hawks such as [Secretary of State] Mike Pompeo and [National Security Advisor] John Bolton have spoken about,” said former Iranian regime diplomat Ali Khorram.

“The U.S. seeks to have more countries join this measure. Poland is one country that is completely in coordination with the U.S. They are seeking to launch a wave and exaggerate in the media, claiming world leaders are against Iran. They seek to impose pressure though diplomatic and media channels,” said Jalal Sadatian, known as a regime insider close to the apparatus of Iranian regime President Hassan Rouhani.
