Reported by PMOI/MEK
Munich, Feb. 17, 2019 - Freedom-loving Iranians and supporters of the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) rallied on Sunday outside the Munich Security Conference, protesting the presence of Iranian regime Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
Expressing their support for the Iranian people’s uprising and PMOI/MEK network of “Resistance Units” across Iran, the protesters called for the following:
- condemnation of Tehran’s terrorist measures in Europe and the United States
- blacklisting the Iranian regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS)
- expelling MOIS and IRGC Quds Force operatives from Europe and the U.S.
The protesting Iranians in Munich also called on the international community to recognize the Iranian opposition coalition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) as the democratic alternative. Maryam Rajavi is the NCRI President-elect and has presented a 10-point plan for the future and free Iran.
PMOI/MEK supporters are also demanding from the world, especially Europe and the U.S., to strongly condemn the Iranian regime’s horrendous human rights violations. As long as executions and nationwide oppression continue in Iran, all cooperation and economic relations with Tehran must come to a halt, the protesters in Munich demanded.

Zarif delivered a speech at the Munich Security Conference and demanded even more concessions from Europe to his regime. His atrocious remarks come after the European Union has been launching the INSTEX initiative to help Tehran bypass U.S. sanctions, raising strong criticism from Washington in the process.
While Zarif is taking part in the Munich event that focuses on global security challenges, it is worth noting that over 60 countries gathered for a recent ministerial in Warsaw to discuss security issues involving the Middle East. All participants agreed that the Iranian regime is the main source of insecurity and destabilization, and the mullahs’ warmongering is the main obstacle before peace, stability and tranquility across the region.
Being a member of the regime’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), Zarif has time and again reiterated how all of the regime’s warmongering, ballistic missile tests and support for terrorism, including the Assad regime in Syria, the Houthis in Yemen, Hezbollah in Lebanon and pro-Tehran militias in Iraq are approved by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Zarif has been part and parcel to the regime's increasing terrorist activities in European countries in the past year, especially against Iranian opposition members and supporters.
Iranian regime President Hassan Rouhani chairs the SNSC and all domestic crackdown of the Iranian people’s uprisings and protests throughout the past four decades are first blueprinted and approved in this body before going before Khamenei.
Playing a role in all of the regime’s malign measures, Zarif’s presence at the Munich Security Conference is a mockery of the event’s entire agenda.
