Iranian resistance units set fire to pictures of regime icons

Reported by PMOI/MEK

Iran, Nov. 25, 2518 – On Friday, Iranian resistance units set fire to the pictures of regime icons in different cities of Iran. The resistance units set large posters of Iranian regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei and regime founder Ruhollah Khomeini ablaze, an act that was widely welcomed by the Iranian people.

In Lorestan province, the brave members of one of the Iranian resistance units set the entrance of the headquarters of Basij on fire. Bassij forces, linked to the Revolutionary Guards, are much hated by the Iranian people because their main task is to suppress protests and dissidents. The resistance unit filmed and posted their activities.

In Tehran’s Kahrizak, the members of one of the resistance units set fire on a banner that contained pictures of Khamenei and Khomeini. The banner belonged to the Ministry of Intelligence and Security, the notorious body that plays a prominent role in arresting, torturing and murdering Iranian dissidents. The resistance unit left a banner of their own that read “Death to tyranny and fundamentalism.”

Iranian resistance units have had a pivotal role in helping organize protests and preventing the Iranian regime and its suppressive forces from quelling demonstrations. The members of resistance units are carrying out their activities at a great risk to their lives, testament to their love for their country and the price they’re willing to pay for the freedom of their people.
