Iran, July 28, 2019 - Members of “Resistance Units,” a network linked to the Iranian opposition group People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), are commemorating the anniversary of “Operation Eternal Light,” a major initiative back in 1988 aiming to overthrow the mullahs’ regime.
In Shiraz, south-central Iran, PMOI/MEK supporters and Resistance Units members put up a sign of the National Liberation Army of Iran (NLA) and Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi.
In Ahvaz, southwest Iran, a sign was put up reading, “Hail to NLA commander Massoud Rajavi – Khuzestan, July 2019”.
In the city of Abadan, also in southwest Iran, a sign was put up with images of eight MEK martyrs who lost their in Operation Eternal Light.
In Bushehr, southern Iran, a large poster quoting Massoud Rajavi was put with a quote on this occasion.
In Kermanshah, western Iran, a large poster of a brave MEK martyr was put up in her memory. MEK supporters and Resistance Units members also took to graffiti to commemorate the 31st anniversary of this occasion.
In Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari Province, southwest Iran, MEK supporters and Resistance Units members also took to graffiti to commemorate this anniversary.
In Tehran, a large number of posters were put quoting Massoud Rajavi and commemorating this occasion.
In Lahijan and Chaboksar of Gilan Province, northern Iran, MEK supporters and Resistance Units members held images of MEK martyrs. They also took to graffiti to write, “Death to Khamenei,” referring to Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei; and “Hail to Rajavi,” also in reference to Iranian opposition coalition President Maryam Rajavi, head of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).
In Karaj, west of Tehran, a poster was put up commemorating this occasion.
In the city of Bojnurd, northeast Iran, members of Resistance Unit 312 put up a large poster of NLA units inside Iran.
In Khorramabad, western Iran, a poster of the NLA symbol and a line reading, “Hail to the NLA,” was put up in a residential area.
In Semnan, northern Iran, members of Resistance Units commemorate this anniversary by putting up a poster of MEK martyrs and taking to graffiti in various parts of the city.
