Iran, April 30, 2019 – At 9 am Tuesday morning local time, a large explosion took place in a tunnel on the Tehran-North expressway, near a town called Siah Bisheh. This area is located north of the Iranian capital and initial reports indicate 11 workers were trapped inside due to the explosion.
Based on the latest reports this incident, unfortunately, took the lives of three workers and the remaining eight have suffered severe burns.
Iranian opposition President Maryam Rajavi, head of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), expressed her deepest sympathy and condolences with the victims’ families and wished a speedy recovery for those injured.
“My deepest sympathies with families of the victims of the tunnel incident in Tehran-north #Iran expressway. I pray for a speedy recovery of the injured. By plundering the national wealth and wasting it on unpatriotic nuclear and missile projects, and exporting terrorism and war, the mullahs’ regime has rendered our people defenseless in the face of smallest incidents,” Mrs. Rajavi said.
