Iran: Resistance Units call for prosecution of 1988 massacre perpetrators

Iran, Aug. 27, 2018 – Members of resistance units associated to the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) are continuing their efforts and pledging to continue the path of the over 30,000 political prisoners massacred by the mullahs’ regime back in 1988.

Neither the mullahs have been able to silence this great epic, nor international partners appeasing this regime have been able to degrade this historic event in Iran’s history, according to Iranian opposition President Maryam Rajavi who delivered a speech on Saturday during an international conference commemorating these martyrs.

 

 

 

 

A resistance unit member in Tehran put up a banner of Mrs. Rajavi on the capital’s Sattari Bridge, with the text calling for the prosecution of all perpetrators involved in the 1988 massacre.

 

 

In Yazd, resistance unit members raised posters of the 1988 massacre victims and sent this message: “We remember the 30,000 political prisoners executed in 1988. This path will continue until freedom is established in Iran.”

 

 

In Gilan, members of a resistance unit put up posters of the 1988 massacre.

 

 

Resistance unit members in Isfahan sent a message saying they support Mrs. Rajavi as the voice of the 1988 massacre victims.

 

 

In the city of Shahriar, resistance unit members put posters of the 1988 massacre in a city square.

 

 

In Shiraz, a resistance unit member sent this message: “We PMOI/MEK supporters will continue the struggle of the 1988 massacre victims for regime change and establishing a free Iran. Death to Khamenei, hail to Rajavi.”

 

 

Members of Resistance Unit 739 in Torbat-e Heydariyeh put up a poster of Mrs. Rajavi calling for the persecution of regime officials involved in the 1988 massacre.

 

 

In Sabzevar, members of Resistance Unit 520 taped a message hailing the over 30,000 political prisoners massacred in Iran’s dungeons in 1988.

 

 

Resistance Unit 999 in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province pledged to continue the path of the 1988 massacre victims.

 

 

Members of a resistance unit in Sistan & Baluchistan Province sent a message saying, “Memories of the 1988 massacre victims are an inspiration for us in our struggle against the mullahs’ regime. Long live Maryam Rajavi. Long Live Massoud Rajavi. We will continue this path until the very end.”

 

 

In Qom, members of a resistance unit commemorated the 1988 massacre victims and sent a message saying, “We come once again, answering fire with fire. The path of our uprising martyrs will continue.”

 

 

Members of Resistance Unit 770 in Lahijan also pledged to continue the path of 1988 massacre victims.

 

Members of a Shiraz resistance unit sent a message saying, “We remember the 1988 massacre’s 30,000 victims.”

 

Members of the “Mahin Rezaie Resistance Unit” sent a message saying, “We commemorate the 30,000 political prisoners massacred in 1988. To the mullahs’ regime: Your end is near.”

 

 

In Ardabil, a resistance unit member raised a placard pledging loyalty to the 1988 massacre victims.
