Iran, April 30, 2020—While the novel coronavirus claims more lives in Iran every day and According to the latest figures announced by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), over 37,200 people have died of COVID-29 in 306 cities, the Iranian regime attempts to portray a different image and claims to have overcome the situation.
Iranian regime President Hassan Rouhani once again continued his preposterous claims and lies on Wednesday. “We are in such circumstances that we shouldn’t have any despair about the job we lost! Neither should we have such thoughts about the illness and dilemma facing Iran. We must continue to endure against both of these issues,” he said on Wednesday. “The people are calm. If they have a need for food, it is available in the stores. If they need hygiene supplies, it is available in their stores. If people need hospital beds, it is available… Many state leaders in our phone conversations would say we know your numbers, we know the process of your measures. Everyone expressed their gratitude for Iran being very organized and strong in addressing this virus.”
Iranian regime officials are using the pandemic as a tool to consolidate power and against the collapse of their regime at the price of many human lives. While people are suffering from poverty, hunger, and unemployment during the COVID-19 crisis, the regime has only extended Iranians’ suffering by devoting precious resources to proxy wars and the development of nuclear weapons.
Therefore, the real virus confronting the Iranian people is the totalitarian regime in Iran. The one and only single solution for the Coronavirus, poverty, oppression, and tyranny is overthrowing the mullahs’ religious dictatorship in its entirety.
While the Iranian regime's failure during the coronavirus crisis has caused public outrage in Iran, the Iranian people and the PMOI/MEK network inside Iran, the Resistance Units, highlight the solution for Iran which is the overthrow of the mullahs' rule. They took to graffiti in public places writing massages of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and NCRI President Maryam Rajavi.
In recent days, several IRGC Basij bases were torched by defiant Iranian youth. The Iranian people detest the Basij, a subsidiary of the terrorist designated IRGC, a paramilitary force, and the most hated suppressive group, used to crack down on protests and demonstrations such as the November nationwide uprising.
On April 28, brave Iranian youth torched a fundamentalism center for the spread of Sharia law in Shiraz.

On Tuesday in various places in Tehran, Behbahan, Qazvin, Saveh, Gachsaran and Takestan, members of the Iranian Resistance Units organized various activities calling for regime change in Iran. The Resistance Units and selfless women and men have revolted against this pandemic disease amid the Iranian nation’s fateful struggle against the ruling theocracy. They installed handwritten slogans on the walls that read: “There is a single solution for the Coronavirus, and that solution is overthrowing the mullahs’ religious dictatorship” and “The spring of Iran’s freedom will be realized by us and by our own hands.”
On Saturday and Sunday, April 25 and 26, the brave and rebellious youths in Tehran, Sonqor, Karaj, Jahrom, Isfahan, and Gorgan torched three IRGC Basij bases, and banners and images of regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei, president Hassan Rouhani and Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force who was killed in a U.S. drone attack in January.

Also, on April 25 and 26, members of the MEK Resistance Units in Tehran, Arak, Karaj, Hamedan, Isfahan, Tabriz and Rafsanjan installed banners and handwritten slogans on the pointing to the regime’s role in the coronavirus catastrophe. Their banners read, “Khamenei & Rouhani's criminal decision to send people back to work will take a countless number of lives”, “Coronavirus outbreak is the guilt of the Iranian regime & mullahs”, “Down with Khamenei, the cause of the coronavirus outbreak” and “Hail to Rajavi, “The choice of the brave generation of Iran is the overthrow of Khamenei’s rule”
