Iran, Aug. 1, 2019 - Ezatollah Zarghami, member of the High Council of Cyberspace revealed, "Some members of the Experts Assembly have suggested to [Iranian regime supreme leader Ali] Khamenei that his subordinate institutions take care of some of the economic duties of [Hassan] Rouhani's government and assemble a secret government."
In this regard, IRGC-run Fars News Agency wrote, "On Tuesday, July 29, Zarghami explained the reason for this suggestion as such: 'The members of the Experts Assembly noticed that the country isn't being run. They said now that it's not being run, a secret government should be assembled, the institutions under the control of [Khamenei] including the Foundation of the Poor and the organization for ‘Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order’ should come and take over the economic duties of the government… the government has problems. It's as if it has altogether abandoned some domains.'"
Zarghami pointed to the price of meat as one of these domains. "Why should meat be sold at 1.2-1.3 million rials? Even if they imported meat from abroad, they could have distributed it under 500,000 rials. The problem with the government is that it is neither a good producer nor a good distributor. I'm not saying this because of my political views. Rouhani's government has no talent in distributing goods, and it's not using the experience of others," Zarghami said.
