Iran, May 21, 2018 - Most of those arrested in the recent Kazerun protests have been transferred to Adel Abad Prison of Shiraz, the closest major city, according to a reporter in Kazerun, linked to the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).

Although anti-riot units have been called from all areas in Kazerun, they have yet to actually leave the city, the report adds. These units are currently stationed in the city’s judiciary building. Their spirits and morale are very low, and they’re terrified of the people’s reactions to their measures.

Authorities have also been seen going to the home of Ali Mohammadian Azad, one of the individuals killed in Kazerun’s protests. Authorities are begging and attempting to deceive his family by claiming his death was due to a mistake.

The city atmosphere can be described as the silence before the storm.

Other reports indicate on Sunday angry farmers were seen closing an international highway outside of Bandar Abbas, southern Iran. They are protesting the fact that their products are not sold in the local markets.

On Saturday, locals in Manjil, northern Iran, land owners staged a rally protesting authorities' confiscation of their property near a local wind farm.
