Iran: Protests and strikes continue in different parts of the country

Iran, April 25, 2018 - Tenth consecutive day of strikes by merchants and shop owners in Baneh, western Iran, in protest to the border closure and increase in customs duties.

 

Drinking water was decreased sharply in the city of Esfahan, central Iran, on Monday, and water was rationed.

In Mobarakeh, suburbs of Esfahan, water was completely shut down, and residents were in a serious problem.

 

In the Iranian capital, Tehran, a group of students from schools for gifted youth, gathered in front of the Office of Education to protest against the foreclosure of some of these schools.

In Ahwaz, southern Iran, a group of truck drivers and heavy vehicle operators, gathered to protest against unfair cargo distribution.

In Takestan, northwestern Iran, workers of the Industrial Systems Company, gathered to protest against their two months overdue salaries for the second consecutive day.
