Reported by PMOI/MEK
Iran, Jan. 7, 2019 - Reports from a network affiliated inside Iran directly to the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK):
Members of resistance units in Tehran, the capital of Iran, gathered at the gravesite of renowned Iranian wrestler Gholamreza Takhti, a former world champion, paying their respects and placing flowers at his grave. These members of PMOI/MEK resistance units placed signs on the grave reading, “We demand the prosecution of those who murdered Takhti and our youths in various prisons – The mullahs’ regime must be overthrown – Political prisoners must be released.” They also put up a poster of various Dec 2017/Jan 2018 uprising martyrs.
These resistance units members also recorded a message saying, “Today, to those dear loved ones that have fallen innocently anywhere across Iran, and those who may not even have a grave, we say you did not die in vain. To those who were killed in the prisons of Arak, Evin, Sanandaj and other cities across this country, while the coward rulers claim you committed suicide; to those brave souls who poured into the streets empty-handed, and your only sin was that you sought freedom, only to see bullets pierce into your chests; to the brave people of Doroud, Qahdarijan, Izzeh, Sanandaj, and Arak, we pledge allegiance with you to continue your path. When a nation is determined to continue life, destiny will kneel before it.”
In Golestan Province, northern Iran, members of a resistance unit in the city of Kordkuy set a poster belonging to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) that also contained an image of Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
