Iran: PMOI/MEK “Resistance Units” launching “Students Day” campaign

Reported by PMOI/MEK

Iran, Dec. 8, 2018 – Members of a vast network associated to the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) inside the country are expanding their activities marking the “Students Day.”

In Masjid Suleiman, members of Resistance Unit 892 raised posters of Iranian opposition President Maryam Rayam and signs reading, “Universities are bastions of freedom.”

In Isfahan and Tehran, members of resistance units also raised posters quoting Maryam Rajavi calling on college students telling them the victory is in their hands.

In Semnan, members of a resistance unit took to graffiti in various parts of the city writing, “Death to Khamenei – Jailed college students must be freed – Down with cruelty and oppression; We’ll take Iran back – Students, workers, teachers, unite, unite.”

Members of Resistance Unit 922 in Tehran also held signs quoting Maryam Rajavi on Students Day. Other members of this unit held signs across the Iranian capital reading, “Neither threats nor prisons, none are no longer effective – Establishing Students Resistance Councils and Resistance Units to continue the uprising until final victory – Expand resistance units in schools and universities – Students are alive, abhorring the dictator.”

In Karaj, west of Tehran, members of a resistance unit also put up posters of Maryam Rajavi.

Members of Resistance Unit 904 in Quchan, northeast Iran, put up posters and quotes of Maryam Rajavi.

In the cities of Urmia, Semnan, and Borujerd, members of resistance units went on a graffiti campaign writing different slogans across their cities, encouraging students to raise their voice and demand their rights.

Members of resistance unit in Tehran, Dorud, Rasht, Khoramabad, and Isfahan were also seen taking to graffiti and encouraging students to unite with people from all walks of life across the country in their measures against the mullahs’ regime.

Members of Resistance Units, a network affiliated to the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) inside Iran, are increasing their activities focused on encouraging fellow Iranians to more protests across the country.

Members of a resistance unit in Babol, northern Iran, put up a poster containing the ten-point plan of Iranian opposition President Maryam Rajavi for future free Iran.

In Darab, south-central Iran, members of a resistance unit took to graffiti on sidewalks in a city park writing “Death to Khamenei,” referring to the Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Members of resistance units in Khoy, northwest Iran, also took to graffiti writing a quote from Iranian opposition leader Massoud Rajavi saying, “Resistance Units are the spark igniting uprisings – The fire of uprisings will never be put out.”

In Tehran, members of a resistance unit took to graffiti to write “Death to Khamenei” and setting the writing on fire.

The resistance units’ non-stop activities throughout Iran has reached a point that Ali Akbar Raefipoor, a figure said to be close to Khamenei, made the following remarks on this subject.

“The [PMOI/MEK] … seek to launch a popular army, an army that will carry out their measures… people in the city of Kazerun (south-central Iran) say we don’t want a portion of the city to split up… However, in the middle of all the mayhem, all of a sudden we witness an attack on a police station… The people were seeking their own demands, but just two people are enough to be in such a crowd and actually do something. The [PMOI/MEK] has such two-person teams in all cities… Take into good consideration that we have more than 24,000 to 25,000 [PMOI/MEK] members in Tehran alone!”

These remarks were aired on June 17, 2018.

Of course, Raefipoor is not the only Iranian regime figure making such remarks about the PMOI/MEK resistance units.

Former intelligence minister Heydar Moslehi said it in even more precise terms.

“In 2018 or 2019, the enemy will definitely be planning a sedition and the main target will be the Supreme Leader,” he said according to the state-run Entekhab website.

There are many such examples and the list goes on. Even Khamenei and Iranian regime President Hassan Rouhani have made similar remarks, saying their forces should not “lose hope.”

This is a clear indication of major defections in the Iranian regime’s ranks and files, and many losing hope in fear of the regime’s upcoming overthrow.
