PMOI/MEK “Resistance Units” targeting the mullahs’ forces
March 12, 2019 - Members of “Resistance Units,” a network associated to the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), are escalating their measures by directly targeting the regime, ’s oppressive forces.
Members of Resistance Unit 921 in Mashhad, northeast Iran, set fire to the entrance of a Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Basij base while chanting, “A fierce Fire Festival is in the making – Death to Khamenei – Long live the National Liberation Army of Iran.”
Again in Mashhad, members of Resistance Unit 599 set fire to the entrance of an IRGC base and leaving PMOI/MEK statement for increasing protests during the upcoming annual Fire Festivities. These celebrations will be marked this year on Tuesday night, March 19.
Members of Resistance Unit 501 in this city responded to the PMOI/MEK call by setting fire to the entrance of another IRGC Basij base and also leaving copies of the PMOI/MEK statement at the scene.
In Tabriz, northwest Iran, members of a resistance unit set fire to images of regime founder Ruhollah Khomeini and current Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei while chanting, “We answer fire with fire.”
Members of Resistance Unit 444 in Shiraz, south-central Iran, also set fire to Khomeini/Khamenei images while chanting similar slogans.
Again in Mashhad, members of Resistance Unit 650 set fire to Khamenei images inside a trash canister. They also left signs at the site reading, “Death to Khamenei – Hail to Rajavi” at the scene, referring to Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and opposition President Maryam Rajavi, head of the coalition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).
Furthermore, in Mashhad, resistance unit members took to graffiti and wrote, “Death to Khamenei – Hail to Rajavi – Khamenei is a murderer, his rule is void – Death to Rouhani – Death to the mullahs’ principle – Long live the National Liberation Army of Iran…”
Members of resistance units also distributed signs reading slogans against the mullahs’ regime and encouraging people to launch further protests against their oppression.
