Iran, May 14, 2020—While over 41,500 people have died of the novel coronavirus in 317 cities in Iran, members of the Iranian Resistance Units, a network of People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) activists across the country posted messages of the Iranian Resistance leadership across Tehran and various other cities throughout Iran.
From Sunday to Wednesday, May 10-13, MEK Resistance Units in Tehran and other cities, such as Mashhad, Shiraz, Isfahan, Gorgan, Chaharmahal Bakhtiari, Kermanshah, Khorramabad, Andimeshk, Arak, Behbahan, Ramsar, Zahedan, Esfarayen, Amol, Dezfoul, Shahsavar, Rasht, Karaj, Qom, Shahr-e Kord and Sari have been posting banners and taking to graffiti in public, writing messages of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and Maryam Rajavi, President of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).
The MEK Resistance Units offer a breakthrough and are a beacon for uprising and freedom. They represent the rebellious and defiant generation and play a key role in nationwide uprising of December 2017 and November 2019. These selfless, determined, and spirited men and women believe that the Iranian people’s fight against coronavirus is part of their fateful resistance against the mullahs’ regime and the inhuman clerical regime, and their mission is to establish freedom, democracy and popular sovereignty in Iran.
On Wednesday, May 13, members of Resistance Units in the cities of Isfahan, Karaj, Esfarayen, Amol, Dezfoul, Shahsavar and Rasht put up banners and posters of Iranian Resistance leaders with slogans reading: “The Supreme Leader uses the coronavirus to safeguard its own rule. The Iranian people will resist and fight the virus and the ruling theocracy” and “There is a single solution for COVID-19: overthrowing the mullahs’ religious dictatorship in its entirety.”
On Tuesday, May 12, the defiant and rebellious youths torched two of the regime’s centers in the cities of Shiraz and Mashhad focused on emphasizing the mullahs’ propaganda and fundamentalism, while images of Qassem Soleimani were burned in Gorgan and Chaharmahal Bakhtiari.

On the same day in the cities of Isfahan, Kermanshah, Shiraz, Khorramabad and Andimeshk, MEK supporters and the Resistance Units took to graffiti in public places writing anti-regime messages and slogans, such as: “It is time to rise up, to rebel and break the prison chains” and “Iran’s freedom will be realized by us and by our own hands.”
On Monday, May 11, the rebellious and brave youths of Arak, central Iran, burned images of Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Also on Monday, members of Resistance Units in Tehran, Shiraz, Behbahan and Gorgan installed banners of the Iranian Resistance with slogans reading, “The people of Iran will overcome both the coronavirus and the Khamenei virus.”
On Sunday, May 10, another regime-associated site in Qom, central Iran, and banners of Qassem Soleimani in Shiraz and Qom, were torched by the brave members of Iran’s young generation.

While on the same day in Tehran, Ramsar, Zahedan, Shahr-e Kord and Sari, Resistance Units put up handwritten banners and posters of Iranian Resistance leaders reading: “Down with Khamenei, the cause of the coronavirus in Iran”, “The mullahs sow the seeds of hopelessness & passivity. We must rebel against them” and “We’ll continue the fight against the coronavirus caused by Khamenei.”
