Iran, July 14, 2019 - The Iranian opposition coalition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) held its annual “Free Iran” conference on Saturday in Ashraf 3, home to members of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), in Tirana, Albania. The PMOI/MEK is the cornerstone member of the NCRI.
Reuters published a number of images of this massive gathering and wrote a ceremony was held in Ashraf 3 where the PMOI/MEK are stationed in Albania. In this event, NCRI President Maryam Rajavi, Senator Joe Lieberman and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani took part and delivered speeches.

This year’s annual NCRI conference was held for the first time in Ashraf 3, home to PMOI/MEK members in Albania with a large number of foreign dignitaries also participating. The speakers at the event emphasized on their support of the Iranian opposition NCRI, especially after hearing testimonies of survivors of human rights violations in Iran.
“What we must do is to increase our voice and efforts because what we heard today about the Iranian Resistance is a new beginning. Now, we must support this movement with all our might,” said a mayor from France.

The Iranian opposition held its annual conference in Albania with a large number of political dignitaries from the West and Arab World taking part. An exhibition of human rights violations by the Iranian regime was put on display during this conference.
NCRI Foreign Affairs Commission Chairman Mohammad Mohaddessin said in an interview with Sky News TV, “The message of this event in the PMOI/MEK complex is to express the PMOI/MEK and Iranian people’s readiness to overthrow the mullahs’ regime. The mullahs’ regime is in very dire conditions, facing a very restive and explosive society. Hundreds of political dignitaries from various countries across the globe, including the United States and Europe, are present in this conference. Their joint messages are that the solution for the mullahs’ regime is to be replaced with a democratic alternative.”
