Iran, Aug. 10, 2019 - In recent remarks aired by national television, Hassan Rouhani, president of the Iranian regime, revealed the true nature of his so-called "moderate" and "centrist" regime. "We down American drones and take pleasure in it," Rouhani said.
Rouhani's remarks on national TV:
"That we can down a modern American drone is a talent. Our second talent is that we downed it with our own missiles, and our third talent was that we used our own radar system to search for the drone. That we were able to lock on target with our own system is our fourth talent. This is very valuable to us. We down the American drone and take pleasure in it!"
Rouhani also spoke about the strain caused by the unprecedented sanctions against his regime, saying, "Never before in the past 40 years had we been sanctioned with such pressure."
Previously, Rouhani had tried to blackmail the UK by demanding the release of his regime's supertanker in Gibraltar in exchange for the ship that the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) had taken as hostage in the Persian Gulf. In a cabinet meeting, Rouhani had said, "If the Europeans conform to international rules and stop their violations including what they did in Gibraltar, Iran's response will be a suitable one."
Meanwhile, Rouhani claimed that the British oil tanker had been stopped because it had entered the Strait of Hormuz in the wrong direction and had not listened to warnings issued by IRGC forces. Rouhani shamelessly asked "the entire world" to thank the IRGC for "securing the Persian Gulf."
Rouhani had also grovelled to the IRGC regarding the downing of the U.S. drone. On June 26, Rouhani had said, "I kiss the hands of all those who have developed this industry in the Defense Ministry and those in the IRGC who put it to good use."
Some in the West view Rouhani as a moderate figure. However, Rouhani’s actions and history indicate the exact opposite and prove that he is a terrorist and part and parcel to the mullahs’ brutal and fascist rule.
