“As a representative of this nation, I am against us sending people’s children to school and placing them in danger. Kermanshah and a number of other provinces should not become testing labs,” said Abdolreza Mesri, member of the regime’s Majlis (parliament) from the city of Kermanshah, on Saturday. “I am calling on the government to pay serious attention to Kermanshah and not designate this province as a white zone or an area to test the reopening of schools. Down the road, in order to say their measures were successful they will be forced to hold back on the true numbers. Then, in my opinion, it will be premeditated murder,” he added, according to the Etemad Online website. “If we rush into this and people’s kids end up contracting Covid-19, I will not consider it as mismanagement. In my opinion we will be knowingly and deliberately committing murder.”

“On Friday, August 28, we registered the highest number of Covid-19 patients hospitalized in Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari province hospitals ever since the pandemic began,” said the dean of Shahre Kord Medical Sciences University on Saturday. “This increasing trend is seen in the number of people hospitalized, those seeking medical attention, and those testing positive. This is quite concerning,” he added, according to the Javan daily, an outlet associated to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

Some of our medical status have contracted very strong cases of the illness. Day by day the number of people seeking medical treatment are increasing. We have dire patients, and in the coming weeks we may have more deaths,” he continued, according to the semi-official ILNA news agency.

In Fars province the deputy dean of Shiraz Medical Sciences University said on Saturday that 11 Covid-19 patients died across the province during the past 24-hour period, according to Javan.
