“The sixth coronavirus wave will be upon us in Iran by late October or early to mid-November. We are concerned and are certain that this will take place,” said regime Health Minister Bahram Einollahi on Thursday, according to the regime’s official IRNA news agency.

“The decreasing trend of numbers in the capital is not consistent. Covid-19 has shown that it can take advantage of the circumstances and begin to elevate the numbers again. The metropolitan city of Tehran, especially, is in fragile and unstable conditions. Vaccination is necessary to uproot coronavirus, but it is not enough,” said Alireza Zali, head of the Tehran Covid-19 Task Force on Friday, according to IRNA.

“Each day we have 4040 patients hospitalized and 800 new patients being hospitalized. Our concerns are that we are not witnessing a significant decrease in the stats. The numbers have remained permanent, and the expected decrease is not shaping,” said Nader Tavakoli, deputy chair of Tehran Covid-19 Task Force on Thursday, according to the state-run Asr-e Iran daily.

“The trend of locals dying of coronavirus continues as we speak. During the past 32 days West Azerbaijan province has lost an average of 22 patients per day to coronavirus. During the past 24 hours 616 new cases were registered and 250 people were hospitalized,” said the dean of West Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to IRNA.

“861 patients with coronavirus patients are hospitalized [in Kermanshah province]. This shows an increasing trend in comparison to yesterday. 193 patients have been hospitalized during the past 24 hours and 179 were discharged,” according to a statement released on Thursday by the Kermanshah Medical Sciences University.

“The number of positive Covid-19 tests across [Qom] province reached 205, indicating a 30 percent increase in comparison to yesterday,” said the dean of Qom Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the regime’s official IRIB news agency.

“During the past 24 hours we have seen 280 new patients hospitalized and 22 patients lost their lives. We currently have 1701 patients hospitalized, of which 308 are in ICUs,” according to a joint statement released on Thursday by the Isfahan and Kashan Medical Sciences universities.

“During the past 24 hours 105 new patients have been hospitalized across [Yazd] province. We currently have 448 patients hospitalized, of which 90 are in ICUs,” said the deputy dean of Yazd Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence & Security (MOIS).
