“In the coming days 70 percent of the society will be vaccinated,” said regime President Ebrahim Raisi, continuing the trend of lies by his predecessor regarding coronavirus. This claim is being made at a time that a report issued on Friday by the Ahvaz Medical Sciences University indicated only 27 percent of Khuzestan province population has been vaccinated. Furthermore, the state-run Jahan-e San’at daily wrote recently that full vaccination will take seven to ten months, and this will result in the country never being able to exit the current pandemic status.

“Each day we have nearly 700 positive test results, and 22 to 23 people are dying of coronavirus per day. To prevent a sixth coronavirus wave, we need to increase vaccination levels to 80 percent,” said the deputy dean of East Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Saturday, according to the Fars news agency, an outlet linked to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

“With 314 people hospitalized for coronavirus in the past 24 hours the total number of patients currently hospitalized stands at 2035, of which 304 are in ICUs and 83 are under ventilators. We have lost 28 people during the past 24 hours,” according to a Saturday report wired by the regime’s official IRIB news agency.

“During the past 24 hours 476 new coronavirus patients have been identified in Covid-19 laboratories, of which 139, meaning 42 percent from,” said the dean of Qazvin Medical Sciences University on Saturday, according to the IRGC Quds Force-affiliated Tasnim news agency.

“The city of Saveh remains a registered red zone and unfortunately the coronavirus situation in the city of Mahalat, where we had improved from a red to an orange zone, has once again been registered a red zone after just a few days,” said the dean of Arak Medical Sciences University on Saturday, according to the Tasnim news agency.

“Considering the fact that full vaccination has yet to reach 70 percent of the entire population, in the case of any negligence we will witness a new wave of this illness. The high number of new cases indicates the virus transmission is active and therefore a sixth wave has not been cancelled,” said the deputy dean of Gilan Medical Sciences University on Saturday, according to the regime’s Hamdeli newspaper.

“During the past 24 hours 19 people have lost their lives to Covid-19 in [Qom] province. 598 patients are hospitalized for coronavirus and 191 are in dire conditions,” according to a statement released Saturday by the Qom Medical Sciences University.

“Currently we have 1237 patients in coronavirus branches of hospitals across the province, of which 219 are in ICUs,” according to a statement released Saturday by the Kermanshah Medical Sciences University.
