Alireza Zali, head of the Tehran Province COVID-19 Task Force HQ described the Iranian capital’s conditions as very fragile. “Circumstances in Tehran, like other major cities, are not stable and actually quite fragile. Any change in our behavior and refusing to impose hygiene protocols can result in us witnessing a very different and concerning situation in Tehran,” Zali said on Monday, according to the Fars news agency, affiliated to the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

“The trend of the number of new cases in Ahvaz is very high. The number of cases in the city of Ramshir is also very high” and in Ahvaz, “the death toll of people under the age of 60 has increased,” said Khuzestan Province Governor Gholamreza Shariati on Tuesday, according to the Fars news agency.

Physicians in the city of Dezful, southwest Iran, say ordering people back to work has resulted in a steep increase in the number of coronavirus patients. Some days 15 to 20 people are dying of COVID-19 in this city.

“Major traffic and unnecessary commuting by the citizens can make the process of breaking the coronavirus chain very difficult,” said Dr. Hossein Farshidi, dean of Hormozgan Medical Sciences University, on Tuesday, according to the regime’s official IRNA news agency.

On Monday the Fars news agency reported, “The increasing trend of COVID-19 cases in Hormozgan Province in the past ten days resulted in Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi visiting the city of Bandar Abbas recently.”

“There are no ‘white’ (coronavirus-free) zones in the cities and towns under the jurisdiction of the Semnan Medical Sciences University,” said the dean of Medical Sciences University of Semnan Navid Danaie on Tuesday, according to the Fars news agency. Danaie is referring to the color designations mentioned periodically by regime President Hassan Rouhani claiming over 150 cities have become “coronavirus-free” zones while regime officials across the board are denying any such claims.

While the number of coronavirus cases and deaths are constantly increasing in Khuzestan and Hormozgan provinces, the mullahs’ regime is escalating its oppressive pressures through many arbitrary arrests in these areas. State-police in Hormozgan authorities said they have identified and arrested the individual behind what they describe as “disrupting public order through internet posts,” according to a wire reported by the Mehr news agency on Tuesday. This outlet is linked to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

Furthermore, Khuzestan Province police chief Heydar Abbaszadeh said on Tuesday that eight individuals have been arrested in the city of Shadegan, according to the regime’s official IRNA news agency.
