“Our hospitals lack the capacity to immediately hospitalize a patient if they arrive suffering from Covid-19. The hospitals are facing shortages in beds and hospital officials are forced to take beds from other branches and add them to the coronavirus branch,” said a senior official of Tehran’s renowned Masih Daneshvari Hospital on Tuesday. “The number of coronavirus patients is extremely high. Unfortunately, the possible increase in the daily death rate will begin this week because there are many dire patients in ICUs. It is important for us to break the chain reaction of this virus’ spread as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we are not taking any measures in this regard. Neither vaccination is progressing with speed nor are we taking any measures to break the chain reaction of the virus’ spread. Tehran is even more populated than in the past. Wherever you go the doors are open and all the restrictions are merely words on paper,” this official added, according to the state-run Hamshahri daily.

“We are constantly hearing lies about the innocent people of Sistan & Baluchistan province. They are providing wrongs stats about the number of victims. When we say have no equipment and no hospitals, they say beds are empty. When we protest, they insult us,” said a member of the regime’s Majlis from the city of Zahedan on Tuesday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“During the past 24 hours 1679 people have contracted coronavirus, and all the cases are UK and delta variants. The status quo is extremely critical,” said the dean of Zahedan Medical Sciences University on Tuesday, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“The reports given of the coronavirus management in [Sistan & Baluchistan] province do not coincide with facts on the ground. We have many cases where patients with 80 percent of their lungs engulfed with Covid-19 are refused hospitalization,” said another Majlis member from the city of Khash on Tuesday, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“A field hospital is needed as soon as possible in the city of Bandar Abbas,” said the governor of Hormozgan province on Tuesday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“Considering the increasing number of coronavirus cases, five hospitals are allocated to provided medical services to these patients. We are witnessing a large wave of new coronavirus patients in our province,” said the chair of the Qom Province Health Center on Tuesday. “The pace that this virus is spreading is beyond people’s expectations and we may once reach a new peak,” this official added, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

Head of the Health Network in the city of Cheram said the number of positive test results in this city has quadrupled, according to a Tuesday report wired by IRNA.

“Since yesterday we have hospitalized 289 patients while 174 patients were released in the past 24 hours,” said the spokesperson of Isfahan Medical Sciences University on Tuesday, according to the Mehr news agency.

“During the past 24 hours 370 patients have been hospitalized. This is a serious warning. Currently we have 1930 patients hospitalized, of which 193 are in dire conditions,” according to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Shiraz Medical Sciences University.

“In mid to late June we had 1,000 new cases per day. Last week we passed the 3,000 mark. This tripling of these stats is profoundly serious,” said the spokesperson of Yazd Medical Sciences University on Tuesday, according to the Tasnim news agency.
