The regime’s Health Ministry spokesperson announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers from the past 24 hours on Sunday as 258 deaths, being a new record of daily deaths in the past four months. Furthermore, 4392 patients are in ICUs, which is unprecedented in the past 82 days.

“Due to various reasons our remarks did not receive any attention… Across the entire country, unfortunately, the number of people hospitalized is escalating and in many of our cities our university deans have a very heavy heart regarding the weigh of this illness and the lack of equipment and supplies that may make them unable to respond,” said Health Minister Saied Namaki on Sunday. “Unfortunately, all of our provinces are experiencing a massive new rise in numbers. Our forecasts show that this week and the next week the map will be even more red and even heading towards black,” he added, according to state TV.

“The president’s report card in the National Covid-19 Task Force has created many problems… in the National Covid-19 Task Force there is a certain control over the votes and experts’ opinions are not taken into consideration in the decision-making process. The National Covid-19 Task Force’s structure needs to change,” said a member of the regime’s Majlis (parliament) Budget Committee on Sunday.

“Those who allowed people to go on vacation during the Nowruz (Iranian calendar new year) and led to many areas of the country being registered as red zones should now be held accountable today,” said a deputy speaker in the regime’s Majlis on Sunday, according to the semi-official ILNA news agency.

“The number of daily deaths will most definitely reach 500 to 600 per day. This is unavoidable… There are truly no empty hospital beds. We added 90 beds during the past few days in Tehran’s Masih Daneshvari Hospital. However, they were again all filled immediately,” said a member of the National Covid-19 Task Force on Sunday. “The volume of this peak is increasing and at the same time our medical centers are packed. We had similar circumstances during September and October 2020, but it appears this wave will be far worse. I was hoping general vaccination would be finalized by September and October of this year. However, considering the current circumstances, it does not look like we will be able to finalize the vaccination prior to March or April of 2022,” this official added, according to the state-run Khabar Online news agency.

“In the past 24 hours one Iranian has died of Covid-19 every 16 minutes. Today in Tehran we had 70 patients lose their lives. With the current circumstances it will be exceedingly difficult to control this illness. Today, unfortunately for the first time the total number of people hospitalized has reached 6126 and with this trend of the rise in stats God knows how our hard-working colleagues will be by the end of next week,” said Alireza Zali, head of the Tehran Covid-19 Task Force. “25 percent of those hospitalized, meaning more than 1577 patients, are in ICUs. In Tehran, the total number of new patients in the past 24 hours who have been hospitalized has reached around 1200. However, only 400 patients have been released. Nearly 400 others are in emergency sections ready to be hospitalized,” Zali added, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“The number of people hospitalized has tripled in Alborz province, escalating to more than 900 while we were at 350 in early March. The number of coronavirus deaths per day has risen from two back in early March to 14 or 15 today. The number of people seeking medical care for coronavirus symptoms has quadrupled,” said the spokesperson of the Alborz Medical Sciences University on Sunday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“The number of people hospitalized in the past 24 hours has increased by 350 percent. The number of new cases has quadrupled, and the number of people placed in ICUs have nearly quadrupled,” according to a statement issued by the Kermanshah Covid-19 Task Force published by the regime's official IRNA news agency on Sunday.

“From March 30 once again we have seen an increasing trend of people being hospitalized. Currently we have around 2000 people hospitalized. The death rate has increased by 15 percent in comparison to last week,” said the dean of Ahvaz Medical Sciences University on Saturday, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.
