Regime President Hassan Rouhani acknowledged on Saturday that there is no clear prospective for the Covid-19 vaccine. On the issue of schools reopening in early September he said, “This depends on how many vaccines are imported and when the domestic vaccine is available. These are many ifs, and if they are realized, it is especially important that coronavirus conditions are contained in early August when the new government will be in power… We adopted a measure today allowing the private sector to import vaccines.” The private sector is another name for entities linked to the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. As a result, imported vaccines will be another medium for theft and plundering the Iranian people’s money.

“In most provinces we are witnessing an escalating trend of this illness. We have 23 red zone cities now while we had nine on March 15. The number of orange zone cities has increased from 31 to 44, yellow zone cities from 295 to 287, and blue cities from 113 to 94. This indicates that the virus is circulating across the country,” said Alireza Raisi, spokesperson of the National Covid-19 Task Force on Saturday. “Some provinces, where we had no increase in illnesses for months, are now reporting escalating numbers and this can be an alarm bell,” he added, according to state TV.

“The cities of Urmia, Dehloran, Omidiyeh, Andimeshk, Khorramshahr, Masjid Soleiman, Darab, Eslamabad Gharb and Borujerd have recently been designated as red zones. The cities of Oshanviyeh, Karaj, Tehran, Rey, Shamiranat, Cherdaval, Ramhormoz, Karun, Takestan, Qazvin, Gilan Gharb, Azna, Aligudarz, Khorramabad and Khatam have upped a level from yellow to orange zones,” said the spokesperson for the regime’s Health Ministry on Saturday.

The number of mutated UK strain cases have tripled in less than ten days in the province of Mazandaran in northern Iran. “The number of UK strain cases registered is definitely far below the real number and the actual number may be much higher,” said the public relations official of the Mazandaran Medical Sciences University on Saturday. “525 coronavirus patients are hospitalized in hospitals under the umbrella of Mazandaran and Babol Medical Sciences universities, of which 126 are in ICUs,” this official added, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“The Covid-19 conditions in Shahreza (central Iran) is a fire under the ashes. Confirmed death cases and those suspicious of breathing disorders have nearly quadrupled in comparison to two years ago,” said the head of Shahreza Medical Network on Saturday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“The number of hospitalized coronavirus patients in the past week have practically increased by 50 percent and as a result the death rate will be on the rise,” said the dean of Kermanshah Medical Sciences University on Saturday. “Practically the fourth coronavirus wave has started in this province and in three weeks we will witness the peak of this wave,” this official added, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“The number of Covid-19 patients hospitalized in Golestan province has increased from 180 on March 21 to 232 current patients,” said the governor of Golestan province on Saturday, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.
