The regime’s Health Ministry announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers from the past 24 hours on Tuesday as 8554 new cases in the past 24 hours, being the highest such stats in the past 89 days, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“In Khuzestan 57 percent of the new patients have contracted the UK strain. We are facing a virus that is far more contractive and with a much higher death rate. If, God forbid, we have several other provinces like Khuzestan, I do not know if we can bear the burden on the health apparatus,” said Health Minister Saied Namaki on Tuesday. “In Khuzestan 78 of my colleagues have contracted the UK strain. When the medical staff have not slept even half an hour and lack of sleep weakens their body’s immune system and they become ill, their work becomes exceedingly difficult. We have a difficult road ahead on managing Covid-19. Currently in Khuzestan we are facing a heavy storm, far worse than the Wuhan virus storm,” he added, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“The faster we carry out the vaccination, the better. The more we establish mass immunity, the more it becomes possible to get ahead of this virus,” said a member of the Health Ministry Advisory Council on Tuesday. “The later we enter the vaccination cycle, the more this virus is able to circulate, and it may even become resistant against the vaccine,” this official added, according to the state-run Setareyeh Sobh media outlet.

“I am concerned about those people who are paying tens of millions of rials to inject the vaccines purchased in local markets. This is a catastrophe,” said Minoo Mohraz, a senior member of the National Covid-19 Task Force on Tuesday. “The number of people seeking medical care in hospitals has increased significantly. Private hospitals and medical centers in northern Tehran are filled with patients,” she added, according to the Fars news agency, an outlet linked to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

Hospitals are filled with patients and the mutated strain of coronavirus is spreading across numerous cities in Khuzestan province. “Forty to 50 percent of PCR tests are positive, indicating that until March 20 the number of dire patients will double,” said the dean of Shushtar Medical University on Tuesday. “The number of people entering Khatam al-Anbia Hospital are more than those being released. Since last week to this day the number of hospitalized patients has doubled. ICU beds are nearly all filled with patients and we are in dire conditions as we speak,” this official added, according to the regime's semi-official ISNA news agency.

“One of the impacts of Covid-19 is that it punctures the lung. The number of such cases have increased tremendously in comparison to the last peak and patients seeking medical care for the first time have this from the very beginning,” said the head of ICU in Razi Hospital of Ahvaz on Tuesday. “The number of ICU beds are limited despite the fact that during this period the capacity of ICU branches in our hospitals have been increased four-fold,” this official added, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

Head of the Emergency Center in Ahvaz reported on Tuesday that 60 personnel of this branch have contracted coronavirus from February 8 to March 6, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

In Yazd, the deputy dean of the local Medical Sciences University on Tuesday referred to the fact that to this day the number of people with symptoms of the UK strain who have positive PCR test results has reached 21, adding the number of people hospitalized in the past 24 hours have increased in comparison to previous days, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“With the discovery of four new cases of the UK strain in the village of Anbardan, the number of people who have contracted this virus in this village alone stands at 11,” said the caretaker of the Health Network in the town of Bestan Abad in East Azerbaijan province on Tuesday, according to the Tasnim news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s IRGC Qud Force.

The state-run Arman daily on Tuesday reported of discrimination regarding the vaccine and shed light on rumors about officials being in priority to receive the vaccine. While around 570,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccines have been imported, there are reports of vaccination for special people, this daily adds.
