“It is necessary that all relevant apparatuses be instructed that providing information regarding the vaccine and all related issues must be aligned, with one voice and through the spokesperson of the National Covid-19 Task Force,” said regime President Hassan Rouhani on Thursday to control the increasing embarrassment for the mullahs’ regarding the vaccination process.

“With a new spread of Covid-19 we are witnessing an increasing number of people seeking medical care at hospitals,” said Minoo Mohraz, a senior member of the National Covid-19 Task Force on Thursday. “If a fourth peak begins this illness will attack people at all ages. Most certainly in mid-February and early March we will be facing a more advanced wave of this illness. Our hospitals will no doubt be troubled with difficult conditions,” she added, according to the state-controlled Entekhab daily.

“Some cities in Khuzestan province, especially Shadegan, are in poor Covid-19 conditions. Shadegan is especially in catastrophic circumstances,” according to the head of the Epidomology Committee in the National Covid-19 Task Force on Thursday. “To relieve ourselves of this epidemic we need to increase preventive measures across the country. Otherwise the illness will increase dramatically,” this official added, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

In Tehran, the head of the health network of Shar-e Rey said, “The number of incoming patients in this county is increasing. If this trend continues, we will face a new wave of the disease.”

In Markazi province, the dean of Saveh Medical Sciences University said, “The number of cases in the past week is equal to the entire number of cases in the previous month.” The dean added, “The fourth Covid-19 peak in Saveh is undeniable and we must accept that like last year, coronavirus will be the uninvited guest this year.”

In Mazandaran, according to statements by the deans of Mazandaran and Babol medical universities, 140 new cases were registered and the number of hospitalized patients has reached 1,095. There are currently 210 critical patients on ventilator support in the ICU sections of the medical centers of these two universities.

In Kurdistan province, the deputy provincial governor said, “We are seeing a rise in the number of cases and hospitalized patients. The spread of the virus in Baneh, Bijar, Saqqez, Sanandaj, Kamiaran, and Gorveh has returned to yellow status and the continuation of this trend is an alarm for the beginning of another dangerous peak in the province.”

In Razavi Khorasan province, an official from Mashhad Medical Sciences University said, “The fourth Covid-19 peak will be much more difficult than the first-to-third peaks because in winter, the simultaneity of coronavirus and flu will make things much more difficult.”
