The regime’s Health Ministry spokesperson announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers on Sunday as 251 deaths and 4482 patients in dire conditions. These are record numbers since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. “This week the number of people hospitalized were reported as 15.19 for every 100,000 people and 20.2 for every one million. In some of our provinces, such as Qom, there are drastic differences in the death rate in comparison to the country’s numbers,” she added on Sunday, according to the regime’s official IRNA news agency.

“We are in very worrisome conditions. In Tehran, our hospitalized statistics are 175 to 200 percent higher than those who are released from hospitals,” said Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi on Saturday. “Those who are hospitalized end up staying for a longer period. We have similar conditions in some other provinces, such as Lorestan, Kurdistan, Isfahan and West Azerbaijan… This third wave may have our numbers reach 550 to 600 deaths per day,” he added, according to state TV.

“Only a small number of masks have been distributed to drug stores at prices of around 13,000 rials a mask. There are only 100 to 200 masks per drug store, which does not address the people’s needs,” said one official in Tehran on Sunday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

All the while the mullahs’ regime has issues fines for anyone who is seen not wearing a mask. It is also worth noting that one mask costs 13,000 rials while an ordinary worker in Iran earns around 12 million rials a month. Along all their other expenses, very few can afford to purchase masks.

Medical staff suffering from fatigue and contracting Covid-19, an increasing number of coronavirus and economic dilemmas for the country’s hospitals following a decrease in revenue, an increase in the expenses resulting from providing medical services to Covid-19 patients are among the issues facing Iran’s medical apparatus. “To this day 17 percent of the medical staff in hospitals and centers across Tehran province have contracted the virus, and 45 have lost their lives,” said the deputy chief of Tehran’s Covid-19 Task Force, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“Our circumstances not in Tehran and across the country can be described as critical. Surpassing the Covid-19 crisis and bringing an end to the high number of deaths in the current circumstances needs a two to three week-long lockdown,” said another member of the Tehran Covid-19 Task Force on Sunday, according to the state-run Alef website.

“During the past few months more than 1,000 nurses have filed requests to leave the country. Not receiving their wages on time and other issues regarding their salaries, mismanagement regarding measures needed to protect our human resources, failing to have new recruits for our medical apparatus are among the main reasons that our nurses are seeking to leave the country,” said an official in Tehran on Saturday. “There have been many pledges regarding the nurses’ living conditions. To this day, however, there have been no effective measures in this regard, and this can cause serious concerns,” the official added, according to the state-run Nateghan website.

“In the past 24 hours there have been 16 deaths reported in Markazi province,” said the head of the Markazi Medical Sciences University on Saturday. “The capacity of our medical centers is coming to a full and state facilities cannot address this dilemma. All the pressure is on our medical staff and their abilities have reached an end. The future does not look good,” the official added, according to the Tasnim news agency, an outlet linked to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force.

“45 cities across the country are in very dangerous conditions, of which six are in Kermanshah province and this is very concerning,” said the governor of Kermanshah province on Saturday. “In the month of September and October we have had record numbers of people hospitalized and those who have died of the Covid-19 crisis,” the governor added, according to the Tasnim news agency.

“We have no empty beds because our assets in Lorestan are extremely poor. If anyone needs to be hospitalized, we cannot address this issue and this is the nightmare we were worried about,” said the governor o f Lorestan province on Sunday, according to Tasnim news agency.

“The daily death toll in Lorestan is increasing, and especially in the past three or four days this increase has been far more drastic. ICU beds are full and if anyone needs to receive such treatment, the probability of them losing their lives is remarkably high,” he added on Sunday, according to the Mehr news agency.

“Yesterday, unfortunately, we had 165 patients hospitalized in the city of Sirjan and we no longer have any empty beds. Our medical personnel, including physicians and nurses, are all extremely fatigued,” said the deputy dean of Kerman Medical Sciences University on Sunday, according to the Mehr news agency.
