Iranian regime President Hassan Rouhani once again defended the mullahs’ criminal policies that has led to an unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic increase. “There are some lies being spread on the internet or published in some newspapers. All these lies must be set aside,” he said. “Public abidance by health protocols have decreased from 82 to 62 percent,” Rouhani claimed, once again blaming the Iranian public for the recent surge in new Covid-19 cases and deaths. “If people decide to not abide by hygiene protocols, we will be facing major dilemmas. Anywhere when people decrease their abidance by health protocols, the week after the number of patients increase and the week afterwards, we witness an increase in coronavirus deaths,” he continued.

“The Health Ministry has announced that all provinces are considered red zones. Therefore, the status quo is not good,” said Masoud Mardani, a member of the National Covid-19 Task Force on Saturday. “Ten to 12 percent of patients hospitalized end up dying. Fifty percent of our patients that enter ICUs end up dying and 90 percent of the patients that are provided ventilator treatment also perish. With an increase in the number of new cases there is no doubt that we will be facing more deaths,” he added, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

Covid-19 is increasing in 12 provinces, or they may be experiencing the beginning of a new peak. In Tehran we are once again witnessing a significant increase in the number of patients hospitalized. These numbers are doubling, meaning we are seeing hospitals beds across the Iranian capital being occupied once again,” said a senior medical official on Saturday, according to the state-run Etemad Online website.

“We have entered the third peak. The number of new cases and deaths are increasing once again. The fall season will begin shortly, and our concerns have increased,” said a member of the Tehran City Council on Saturday. “The number of [daily] deaths in Tehran is more than 60,” she added, according to the Fars news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

“Currently we have 631 patients hospitalized in Qom with suspicious Covid-19 symptoms. The situation in Qom is far beyond red,” said the dean of Qom Medical Sciences University on Friday. “Yesterday 13 patients lost their lives in Qom,” according to the semi-official ILNA news agency.

This university also issued a statement indicating: “Considering the intense Covid-19 peak, the high number of patients and the critical situation that we are now in, any kind of gathering across the province is banned. Instructions have been issued for Forghani Hospital to be fully allocated to Covid-19 patients. Imam Reza Hospital will also begin accepting Covid-19 patients,” the statement reads.

“The medical staff has been overly fatigued to such a point that one can’t say anything about it. These uniforms and the conditions in hospitals where they are constantly witnessing patients dying of Covid-19 have all fatigued the medical personal both mentally and physically,” said the head of Amin Hospital in Isfahan on Friday. “Working in such stressful conditions will increase the possibility of medical personnel and their families contracting the virus. There is also a possibility that the hospital could be shut down,” he added, according to ILNA.

“Currently the cities of Bandar Abbas, Bandar Langeh and Minab are in critical conditions considering the number of patients they have. Conditions in the cities of Parsian, Jask and Bastak are alarming,” said the head of Hormozgan Medical Sciences University on Saturday. “The number of deaths has increased to 751. We have 195 patients hospitalized, of which 48 are in ICU and 13 are in dire conditions,” he added, according to ISNA.
