Iran, March 11, 2019 – Members of “Resistance Units,” a network closely associated to the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), are reporting increasing activities against the mullahs’ regime.
Members of Resistance Unit 612 in Golpayegan, central Iran, set fire to the entrance of a Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Basij base while chanting, “We answer fire with fire.” These resistance unit members were also explaining how their measures are in response to a PMOI/MEK call issued for increasing protests and uprisings during the upcoming national Fire Festival, to be celebrated on Tuesday night, March 19.
In Markazi (Central) Province, members of Resistance Unit 318 set fire to the entrance of another IRGC Basij base.
Members of Resistance Unit 560 in Sabzevar, northeast of Iran, set fire to an IRGC Basij base. These measures are very uplifting for the people’s spirits.
In Tehran, the country’s capital, resistance unit members are putting up signs reading, “We will welcome in the (Iranian calendar) New Year with a fire uprising during the Fire Festival.”
In Enghelab (Revolution) Square of Sirjan, southwest Iran, a resistance unit member held a sign reading, “Death to Khamenei – Hail to Rajavi,” referring to Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and opposition coalition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) President Maryam Rajavi.
Resistance unit members in Lordegan, southern Iran, took to graffiti to write, “Death to Khamenei – Death to the Dictator.”
In Rafsanjan, central Iran, resistance unit members put up the statement issued by the PMOI/MEK Social Headquarters inside Iran calling for more protests during this year’s Fire Festival.
Members of Resistance Unit 320 in Khuzestan Province, southwest Iran, put up a sign reading, “We welcome this year’s Fire Festival with a fire uprising,” while also setting fire to images of Khamenei and other regime officials.
In Qom, central Iran, members of Resistance Unit 425 put up signs calling for more protests during the upcoming Fire Festival.
In Kermanshah, western Iran, resistance unit members put up signs reading, “Death to Khamenei – Death to Rouhani – We answer fire with fire.”
Members of Resistance Unit 355 took to graffiti to write “Death to Khamenei – Hail to Rajavi” at the entrance of an all-girl high school in Ahvaz, southwest Iran.
In Hamedan, western Iran, resistance units took to graffiti to write, “Hail to Rajvai – Death to Khamenei.”
Members of resistance units in various parts of Tehran also took to graffiti to write, “Death to the dictator, Hail to the PMOI/MEK – 40 years of cruelty and oppression – Death to Khamenei, Hail to the PMOI/MEK.”
