Demonstration of 30,000 people of Zanjan

On August 15, 1991, the brave people of Zanjan (northwestern Iran) staged an extensive uprising against the mullahs’ regime. The angry people attacked the governmental centers and buildings in various parts of the city and set fire on them. During this violent demonstration which took several hours 5 governmental center and 50 vehicles were set on fire and were demolished.

In fear of spreading this great uprising, the clerical regime dispatched its forces from the neighboring cities to Zanjan and shot at the people. Consequently 5 people were martyred in this criminal attack and a large number were injured.
