Birth of Zakariyya Razi, Iranian Scientist

Based on historical notes, Abu Bakr Mohammad ibn Zakariyya Razi, great Iranian scientist, was born on December 27, 865 in the city of Rayy.
Zakariyya who discovered alcohol, was one the greatest scientists in medicine, chemistry, mathematics, astronomy and philosophy.
He finished his studies in Rayy and practiced medicine in Baghdad for a while. He built a hospital in Rayy where he practiced medicine and conducted lab works and pharmacy. His most important book which is still being used to review ancient medicine, is named HAVI which is an encyclopedia consisting of all the to-date medical achievements. 
Contrary to scientists in his era, his beliefs were different from Aristotle. But, his most important achievement was alcohol which was found of distillation of wine and was used as a widespread disinfectant in medical science.
