the martyrs and political prisoners ’ families ’ sit-in across UN office in Tehran

Following the visit of Gallin de Paul from Iran along with the UN special delegation on January 22, 1990, hundreds of massacred PMOI martyrs and political prisoners’ families staged a sit-in across the United Nations Office in Tehran. They demanded tovisit the UN special representative and provide him with documents and testimonies about the Iranian regime’s crimes. This sit-in continued for several days. Despite the regime’s repressive and restraining measures, stationing many IRGC units round the place, and the cold weather, over a thousand people took part in the sit-in, many of whom were arrested and transferred to the regime’s torture dungeons.
