“Anti-revolution” drive based on PMOI/MEK pillar to overthrow Iran’s regime

Analysis by PMOI/MEK

July 15, 2018 – 2018 is a special year and we are in a very important twist in our history, said Gholamreza Jalali, chief of the Iranian regime’s Civil Defense Organization.

“The entire anti-revolution drive is based on the PMOI/MEK’s initiative so they can follow up on their measures to overthrow the government through the people and by using the capacities of our security apparatus,” he added in recent remarks made in a meeting of regime officials involved in censorship and controlling social media networks.

“One of this year’s characteristics is that the enemy is blatantly and with headlights on is standing in the face of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, attempting to take advantage of all existing capacities against the [regime]. The PMOI/MEK’s footprints were seen in the Khorramshahr incidents,” he added.

“You are witnessing [U.S. President Donald] Trump’s advisors visiting Albania where the PMOI/MEK are based and Americans are participating in the PMOI/MEK’s sessions in Paris and other places,” Jalali continued.

Concerns of Cyber-sanctions

“The Americans in their recent analysis have said why aren’t we using our aggressive capacity against Iran. The enemy has the ability to stage cyber attacks against our infrastructure. Considering the enemy’s obvious threats, the importance of civil defense is now more important than ever before,” he explained.

“To emphasize the importance of this issue, we should take a look at the subject of Telegram being blocked in Russia. When Russia blocked Telegram the Americans quickly provided Amazon and Google cloud infrastructure to Telegram to enable it to take action against Russia. This experience inside our country shows the Telegram network is a cradle to direct and control the society’s public opinion and to control the people against the Islamic Revolution’s objectives. Therefore, serious approaches must be adopted to confront its threats.”

Possible threats & incidents

On April 17th, Jalali had made warnings about a repeat of the Dec/Jan uprising.

“This year, there is a possibility of a series of incidents and threats. Therefore, we must be focusing on threats, damages and how to confront this subject,” he said.

“We surpassed 2017… we must take a look at the capacities, and upcoming threats and damages, and thus adopt a certain approach. The issue of confronting threats, surveillance, controlling damages and evaluating threat scenarios must be looked at and thus adopting an appropriate approach,” Jalali added.
