The intelligence minister of Iran’s regime exposes his fear of uprisings

Iranian regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei’s to prevent protests in Baluchestan on the anniversary of the Bloody Friday of Zahedan was an utter failure as the people of the region marked September 29 and 30 with protests and strikes in several cities.

One day after this defeat, Intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib said, “The enemy attempted to create a convergence against Iran by increasing pressure and sanctions on various issues in order to perpetuate riots and disturbances, create a security crisis, and continue it until the elections.”

Referring to the enemies’ attempts during the period of September 30 in Zahedan, he added, “The enemies seek to make the eastern borders of the country insecure, and it is necessary for Shia scholars, Sunni scholars, and vigilant officials to be alert.” (Source: State-run Tasnim News Agency, October 1, 2023).

Despite the mobilization of law enforcement forces and intelligence ministry personnel wearing various uniforms, setting up at least 70 checkpoints and conducting inspections in different areas of Zahedan, brave Baluch compatriots in the cities of Zahedan, Rask, Khash, Suran, Taftan, and Saravan took part in demonstrations. Brave young people, amid gunfire and tear gas, shouted, “I will kill whoever killed my brother.” They emphasized their determination to seek justice for the blood of martyrs and overthrow the religious fascism ruling Iran. This can serve as a model for the continuation of uprisings in other areas and the nationwide commemoration of the martyrs of the uprising.

The Minister of Intelligence, while referring to the danger of destabilizing the regime’s stability and security through “provocative actions,” added, “One of the tactics used by the enemies is to create provocative actions within the country to destabilize and undermine security, as a prelude to creating further turmoil in the country.”

Another notable aspect in the statements of the Minister of Intelligence was his pointing out the danger of internal conflicts among security forces and those loyal to the mullahs’ regime. This highlights the deep fear and terror that this regime official has regarding the potential war among the security forces, symbolizing their fear of uprisings.

In this regard, the Intelligence Minister communicated the message of the Supreme Leader to the security and intelligence apparatus, saying: “The Supreme Leader has obligated the security and intelligence agencies to have a mutual understanding in the field of jihad.” He added that this “cooperation, cohesion, and companionship are the fruits of today, resulting in the victory and strength of the Islamic Republic regime. We must strive for this security authority derived from the continuity of convergence. It is appropriate to express gratitude to all military, law enforcement, judicial, security, intelligence, Ministry of Interior, courts, and prosecutors who have made efforts in this regard.

Esmaeil Khatib then emphasized the need for “spirit and hope” in regime forces. He said, “Instead of marginalizing each other, all institutions should focus on strengthening their organizations and units to demonstrate tangible effects in society. Naturally, this creates a greater opportunity for participation. The main approach is for all of us to work hand in hand in governance, the government, the judiciary, the armed forces, and especially the media, to revive hope in society.”
